What a journey.
There is so much to say, and so many alternative titles to the imminent race report:
26.1 miles of running to a .1 sprint?
The Day I Felt Horrible and Ran a 5 Minute PR
The Day I Nearly Ran a Half Marathon PR on my way to the Marathon Finish line
Fly and Die: You Should Give it a Try
The Day I Realized I Wore My Old Running Shoes Instead of My New Ones, Like 13 Miles into my Marathon
The Night I Ate French Fries For My Pre-race Meal and Ran Faster than Ever
And so on. I could go on and on and probably will, once I collect my thoughts, and once the post-race trauma has subsided.
Oh and one more…When you are 14 miles into a marathon and realize that the course you are running is completely different than you expected and so you run feeling first defeated, then resigned, and finally angry as hell.
See you all soon.
