I am a mom to three boys, a wife to a dude working in the film business and a runner.
I moved out to L.A. in the mid-90’s from a small town in South Carolina. I worked as a journalist and moved around the country for jobs before settling out here to be with the dude I first met back in high school. My last real job was in High Tech PR.
We had three boys in quick succession, and each was more active than the last. Our hands have been gloriously full ever since. (My motto in dealing with boys is simple…”run ’em!”)
The dude, my husband, who I refer to as MFP (Mr. Fussy Pants because he is so freaking fussy), lost his job during the recession; I started this blog as an outlet. I also started running marathons to deal with the stress that ensued.
Now I work in the social media industry, coach runners and volunteer. I am also trying to hold it all together now that my boys are teenagers.
I believe in the therapeutic benefits and running and eating well, but I also believe in leaving a little room for crazy. Because we all have some of that.
